One of our core aims is to ensure keeping your pet’s details up to date on a Defra compliant database is easy and affordable. This article explains all of our pricing. 

MyPet Microchips

If your pet has a MyPet microchip thank your microchip implanter! They’ve purchased a microchip which isn’t the cheapest available but the best quality and is 100% free to register and update forever on the MyPet microchip database!

Non MyPet Microchips

If your pet has a non MyPet microchip it’s £2.99 to register forever. This means you pay the £2.99 and never have to pay again to update your details or transfer the pet to someone else. 

Note: That if you’re microchip is registered with another database and you want to move to us, you will first need to contact that database and let them know you want to move to us. They will then explain the process to you. If you don’t hear back from them within 7 days let us know. We will do what we can to help.

(Note: We increased our price from £1.99 to £2.99 on the 2nd December 2023.

Telephone and support ticket registrations

One of the ways we keep microchipping as affordable as possible is by ensuring our platform is easy to use and you can do everything you need to on it. 

If you ask us to register we will guide you on how to do this completely free of charge. If you want us to make the changes over the phone or via a support ticket some charges apply:

  1. Registering any microchip over the phone costs £19.99
  2. Registering any microchip via our support platform (emails or support tickets) costs £19.99
  3. Updating your details over the phone costs £9.99
  4. Updating your details over email/support ticket costs £9.99

Why extra charges for help on the phone or via support

It costs us a lot more money to do those changes for you. It also adds to our costs significantly over the course of your pet’s life to help you maintain your account, particularly if you don’t have an email address. 

Our team can support a lot more customers when they’re focused on ensuring our platform is as easy as possible to use. We also want our team focused on ensuring lost pets get home which is our key goal and role.
